Story
On the 3rd October my friend Kim and I are running the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon. This will be our first marathon after many running adventures together. My Mum was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease not long after I signed up for this event and so we decided it was the perfect opportunity to increase awareness and help fund research for this awful disease. Sadly, my Mum passed away on 6th July after living with this disease for almost two years, so it has become more poignant than ever for me to complete this event for all those still living and coping with Motor Neurone Disease. Finding drugs to halt or even reverse the disease seems so close that it feels as if Mum only just missed out. Just a little bit more time and money might be just enough to realise a breakthrough. I have purposefully not added a target for this fundraiser, I just want people to give if they want to with as much or as little as they wish.
