We fund research, campaign and support to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On 11th March 2015 life for Ian and I changed forever; Ian was diagnosed with stage 4 Bowel cancer with secondaries in his liver. The months that followed are the hardest that we have ever had to face; Ian has been through radiotherapy, 2 lots of chemo and 2 major surgeries. He faced it all with such courage and positivity and I am so very proud of him that I'm putting myself through a very insignificant hardship in comparison; for him and for everyone who has ever had to or will ever have to face this terrible disease.

Fourteen months down the line we had hoped to be nearing the end of this journey but sadly just this week we were told that the cancer is back so we continue on with this endurance event along with thousands of others who face bowel cancer every day. This is my contribution to their fight too. Raise awareness of the symptoms of bowel cancer folks, if caught early enough it is treatable for many many people. Please give what you can however small; every penny helps the good people of Beating Bowel Cancer help people like Ian and me (families need support too).
