You don't truly understand what it means to be touched by cancer until it happens to you. You may have friends who have lost partners and parents or a sibling or even a child and you hear stories about how devastating this awful disease is, but until you are directly affected, you have no idea. 

My Dad accepted his diagnosis with courage and dignity and he fought a brave battle. We were very lucky to have him for 8 months after but I know many are not so lucky. 

We were so grateful for all the help and support we received from the MacMillan Nurses and everybody who was involved in Dad's care. We have asked for family flowers only at Dad's funeral and donations can be made directly to MacMillan via White Dove Funerals but we wanted to also give an option for anybody who would like to make an online donation. Any donations made would be very gratefully received and help such worthy cause.
