I'm running the 2022 London Marathon for Team Breathe!

London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
No one is more surprised than me that I’m running the London Marathon!!! I’m doing it in memory of my dad. He was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis just before his 70th birthday and was told he’d be lucky to live 3 years. He died just after Christmas aged 78. One of the reasons that he lived for so long with this awful disease was because of medical science. The medication he was able to take and the care he received gave us another week, another month, another year with him. We were grateful for every day.
Moments are precious and I’m delighted to be supporting this charity, Asthma and Lung UK, to try to ensure many more people get many more moments.
I didn’t know, but 1 in 5 of us will have a lung condition during our lifetime. Luckily, there's a new diagnosis every minute. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
I'd be incredibly grateful for any donations you could make!
