Story
Sadly, my mum’s body gave in to her cancer and she quietly slipped away on Wednesday 13th June 2018. She was the strongest, proudest and most infuriating woman I have ever known!
Watching someone you love be consumed by such a destructive and debilitating illness is devastating. But my mum did her best everyday to be strong and dignified on not to be a burden on those who loved her.
Me and my crazy bestie, Ali Sellars, will be taking on some tough challenges during 2018. The first is the 30 mile Mendip Challenge and the last is the 105 mile Scottish Coast to Coast, and I'm sure there will be few more in-between. Any amount donated would absolutely make my day! xxx
Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis can be difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. At Weston Hospicecare, our team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Our social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we have to raise £4 million each year to fund our care - something that's only made possible by our community.
