Story
Hello and thank you for reading this. I am a mum to 4 gorgeous boys, 2 of whome have special needs. The painful reality is that they will not be able to live independently or without constant care and help. They have many different issues, but this story is not about that. It’s about the help they get and will(hopefully) get through charities. I chose to run the marathon for Certitude - amazing London charity for special needs children and adults. When I think about my boy’s future I am scared, but knowing that charities like Certitude are out there- I feel a bit better and less alone in all this. I have a friend on the inside and I know first hand about the life changing stuff these guys do for the special needs community. I feel honoured to be running the marathon for Certitude and will try my best to spread the word and raise as much funds as I can.
Running the marathon is a whole different story though . I was so focus on getting the spot, that now -when I have it - it hit me. I have committed myself to this madness, haha. 26.2 miles of madness. But is ‘should’ be ok, I think. I love running, so let the training begin😁
