I've organised this walk as part of a 10 year plan to raise funds for a cause every year. I am trying to choose causes personal to me, and having a family member with this debilitating condition I have spent some time researching dementia. The more I talk to people the more I realise how common it is becoming as we are all living longer now. Many friends have a family member or friend affected by dementia so the more funds we can raise the quicker we can halt, delay or cure this condition that spoils so many peoples golden years and even start as early as people in their 30's.
