Our son David was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome in July 2009 and for us this was the end of one journey of doubt and growing concern and the start of another journey full of confidence and support. I am in awe of the volume and variety of support we have received since David's diagnosis and very conscious that David is very fortunate that he has so many skills, abilities and support networks that will mean he will enjoy all the opportunities that any neurotypical child will enjoy. I am also conscious that there are many children who are less fortunate than David and have even greater personal battles ahead of them. Your money will help these children find a way and place in life and help them make use of the skills and abilities they each possess. I know it will also help other parents receive the information and advice that is so important in supporting them in the vital role they play.
