Story
Thanks for visiting our page.
My sister Janet, and I have both undergone open heart surgery on TWO occasions, our survival has been due to the skills of the surgeons, the knowledge of the Consultants, kindness of the NHS nursing staff and of course the availability of effective drugs. Janet and I now feel fit enough to participate in a sponsored walk and our chosen charity is The British Heart Foundation. We will be walking around Carsington Reservoir (12.5km ) on the 2nd anniversary of my multiple Cardiac Arrest Day, October 22nd 2020.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help us hit our target. Thanks and please share !!
