10-9-2022 update.  All GNR Saturday races (including the children's races) were cancelled yesterday, in respect of the passing of Queen Elizabeth. Sam was, understandably very disappointed, but still wanted to come up to Newcastle and support his dad, brother and aunt on Sunday in the half marathon. Today a local route (close to Josie’s home) was organised for Sam to run a race. He did extremely well, completing 2.23km - a whole km more than the official run! It was then down to the Quayside for a photo in front of the Tyne bridge.

 This year, I will be running the Great North Run mini race (1.2km) on Saturday 10th September and then a week later, the Sandridge fun run (1mile) on Sunday 18th September.
