To celebrate my 60th Birthday in June I have decided to do the Coast to Coast walk from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay starting on the 9th of May 2011 and finishing on the 26th. This is a total of 193 miles.

Since I started volunteering at the Hospice just over a year ago, I have realised how essential their work is and how much it costs to run such an organisation. I would therefore like to ask all my friends and family to sponsor me for this walk instead of buying cards and presents for my birthday. 

Frank has very kindly agreed to accompany me and lend his map and compass reading skills to the venture.
