We all know someone who has been affected by cancer – Ray and I both lost our mums to this dreadful disease.   I am therefore delighted to be raising funds for the Breast Cancer Campaign by taking part in this year’s Great North Run.  BCC is an organisation whose mission is to beat breast cancer by funding innovative world-class research into its treatment.

Training is tough but I do get help from my very own personal trainer whose job it is to kick me out of bed at 6.30 a.m. and point me in the direction of a 7 mile run (for starters).  Roll on September 19^th I say - corks will be popping that night (relief that its all over!).

I would be very grateful for any donations which will help me to raise funds for this excellent charity.
