Story

Brighton Toy and Model Museum have an exciting project creating the 'North Laine Gateway' to help bring visitors down Trafalgar Street, supporting the local community of independent traders in the North Laine area. This regeneration scheme will include opening up two of the Victorian arches, creating more light and visibility onto the street, better signage, improved street lighting, cctv and generally cleaning up what is recognised as being an eyesore to local residents and visitors to Brighton. The Railway Heritage Trust has generously pledged 40% of structural costs, and with an additional 10% from the museum - we are already half way there, looking for additional support to make things happen - all contributions are gratefully received!
