Dam tot Damloop - Amsterdam · 19 September 2010
MSREF Amsterdam will run the 16 km Dam tot Damloop for Great Ormond Street Hospital
On Sunday, September 19th at least 6 team members of MSREF Amsterdam (see picture) will participate in the Dam tot Damloop in Amsterdam. The Dam tot Damloop is a run of 16 kilometer/10 English Miles and is one of the most popular business runs in the Netherlands. Participants will be at least 6 of the following names: Jan-Dries Mulder, Rick de Hoop, Arieke Bollemeijer, Matheusz Kielar, Hein van Schie, Arjan van der Loo, Floris Bruin and Adriaan Zentveldt.
We would like to raise funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Great Ormond Street Hospital is one of the world's leading children's hospitals with the broadest range of dedicated, children's healthcare specialists under one roof in the UK. It is the largest centre in the UK for children with heart or brain problems and the largest centre in Europe for children with cancer. For more info, see www.gosh.org
The redevelopment of the hospital is currently the charity's biggest and most ambitious challenge – a challenge that Morgan Stanley's fundraising effort is helping to address. Many children are still being cared for in old, cramped and generally unsuitable facilities, and the opportunities for clinical research are severely restricted. Furthermore, facilities for the patients’ families are limited and overnight accommodation at a child's bedside is currently not always possible.
Since 2007 over 4,000 Morgan Stanley employees have raised money for and volunteered at the Hospital.
