Run the London Landmarks Half Marathon with Team SRUK

Story

I am running for SRUK to help fund vital research, support and information. They want to reach everyone affected by Scleroderma and Raynaud’s and your support is key to that.

I have decided to take on the challenge to keep up my fitness levels (at 56 years old I need it!!) but more importantly to raise money for an extremely worthy cause which is very close to the hearts of my whole family.

About 10 years ago a very special person was diagnosed with a rare form of systemic scleroderma. It was devastating news for her family and everyone who knows her. The prognosis was poor.

This, however does not stop the lady in question. She simply won’t allow it to. She lives her life to the absolute full and makes the most of every day that she can. Always thinking of everybody else before herself and endlessly organising fund raising events, parties and outings to improve the lives of others. And always with a smile on her face.

She truly is an inspiration, so the least I can do for her is run 13 miles!

Your donations will give me that extra boost to keep running, and will be very much appreciated. Thank you 😊
