Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
In March 1987 my Nan died from breast cancer two weeks before my sister was born. I was only 3 years old at the time but I still miss her to this day. On July 10th this year we found out my mum had brest cancer as well, so you can tell this is a charity that means a lot to me. My mum is having her chemotherapy treatment at the same hospital my nan had hers, The Weston Park Hospital, Sheffield.
On Sunday 5th October 2008, I will be running the BUPA Great North Run to raise money for Weston Park Hospital. Weston Park is a great hospital with amazing staff and by raising money for them I hope more people can experience the treatment and care my mum had received.
The BUPA Great North Run is the worlds biggest half-marathon with 52000 entrants. It is a 13 mile course that runs from Newcastle to South Shields. Don't forget to watch at 9:30am BBC1 on Sunday 5th October!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Weston Park Hospital Cancer Appeal gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now, every little helps!
