My Dad was my hero and my best mate. He recently passed away after a long, hard battle with Lewy Body Dementia and a short battle with cancer.

I am running the Great North Run to raise awareness and money for an amazing charity: The Lewy Body Society. Their mission is to fund research into the illness.

My Dad benefitted greatly from the research carried out by The Lewy Body Society, and I hope that further research could help other people who suffer from this cruel, degenerative brain disease and their families.

Any money you can give would be greatly appreciated - I know first hand this is a great cause.
