Story

Hi...I’m Jamie...AKA @black.country.runner

I’ve been running on and off for about 7 years now but have  taken part in marathons and half marathons more frequently over the last 2 years or so. To run the “Worlds Most Famous Marathon” has always been a dream of mine! I’ve been unsuccessful in the ballot for the past 4 years and had never really considered running on behalf of a charity.

Due to my background of being a criminal defence lawyer who worked within the Legal Aid sector I often dealt with people who were homeless, addicted to drugs, suffering from mental illness and generally at absolute rock bottom in their lives with no hope for a better life.

I’m therefore aiming to raise £2,000 for the Salvation Army so that the homeless can not just get shelter but also the support they need to rebuild their lives.

Thank you - your help and support is massively appreciated!
