Story
I have decided to take part in possibly the biggest challenge of my life, that includes my buckteeth growing up.
In February I will be cycling 1052 miles from John O’Groats (top of Scotland) to Land’s End (bottom of England) over a 12 day period for charity. Let me put that into perspective, that is the same as cycling round Millport over 100 times. I will be attempting this feat with 9 colleagues who are all shapes and sizes. This is all in aid for Sport Relief as my company plan to raise £250,000 in total.
It will be a battle against the weather, fatigue, mental toughness and most of all chaffage. Before I volunteered for this challenge I had only ever cycled for fun which ended when I was 16 and my bike was stolen. At the time of volunteering I didn’t even own a bike let alone have the skill to ride one for any length of time.
My personal target is to raise £1,052 which will go towards the grand total. This is a huge total, and with your help I hope to beat this target. I will share my pain along the way as incentive. Also, I will look hilarious, think Gareth Keenan from The Office in Lycra.
See you on the other side.
Thanks,
Jamie McNair
