Story

Hi folks,

Leanne, my Dad and I have chosen to complete a dementia cycle challenge to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's Society. We are cycling 1,000 miles in a month between us.

Like me, I'm sure you know someone who has suffered with alzheimer's / dementia. It is an extremely challenging disease both for the patient and for their loved ones who experience the deterioration from the outside.

A few months ago, my Grandad died and he had dementia propelled by strokes and other complications. This has left my Nan a confused widow, because unfortunately she has alzheimer's herself. In addition, I know many of you reading this love or have said goodbye to someone with dementia / alzheimer's.

I fully recognise it's really tough out there for all of us, but if you can donate, know that you would have given to a really worthwhile cause.

This link goes to our shared page. You can donate to each of us, or to just one of us; it doesn't matter really as it's all going to the same place in the end.

Our thanks in advance,

Jamie
