Story
This time last year my Mum was diagnosed with MND. If you don’t know, MND is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. This diagnosis quickly changed the future for our family. If you haven’t met my mum, you should know that she is pretty much the most selfless, generous, kick-ass person I’ve ever met, who has taken on this disease with nothing but grace and pure strength.
I feel privileged to take part in the MND association ‘Run 21’ a year on from my Mum’s diagnosis, in the hope to raise money for a cause which is so close to my heart. This charity has already helped us in numerous ways, but I hope one day with enough funding for much needed research they could find a cure. June is my Mum’s birthday month, so it seems even more appropriate to do this for her.
I would be so grateful for any donations towards this amazing charity. The challenge is to run 21 miles from 1st of June to 21st June, which is global MND awareness day.
All donations go direct to the Motor Neurone Disease Association charity.
