Jamie Burgess is raising money for LOROS, the Leicestershire and Rutland Hospice
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I entered the London Marathon in October 2016 with the hope of adding it to the list of challenges I have already completed, and I was lucky enough to gain a place in the general ballot despite the odds stacked against me. Whilst training last year I suffered a knee injury which unfortunately caused for me to reluctantly withdraw from the 2017 Marathon. However, I was very grateful to find out that I would receive a guaranteed place for this year’s London Marathon.
Although I originally entered the Marathon for a personal challenge, I was quick to realise that running the marathon is a fantastic platform to do some good and raise money for charity.
I am running in support of LOROS hospice. LOROS provides free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers.
It is a charity that means a great deal to a lot of people, including some of my close friends, and I know they do wonderful work.
I would be very grateful for any sized donation towards this great charity. Each and every donation will push me towards the finish line on April 22nd 2018.
