Story
On 23rd April we are taking part in the first ever Humphrey's Heroes abseil for Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity. We will scale the gigantic Liberty Heights at Manchester's highest abseil and descend from 230 feet on a rope.
Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity raises funds to support continued excellence in treatment, research and care at the largest children's hospital in the UK. They treat over 220,000 patients from across the North-West and beyond each year and it is an amazing facility for the people of Manchester to have on our doorstep.
All the money that we raise at our abseil will support the Time Saves Lives appeal to build a primary access helipad to serve all of the central Manchester hospitals. Currently when patients, organs or doctors need to be transferred in and out of Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, MRI or Saint Mary's Hospital, they have to land in Birch Fields park and transfer by road ambulance for the last mile. The children's hospital and MRI are both major trauma centres for the region and having this on site helipad could quite simply be the difference between life and death, recovering well or living with life-changing injuries, for many patients.

So please dig deep for this wonderful cause and sponsor us if you can!
Thanks
