Story
I'm running the London Marathon for Asthma + Lung UK which is a charity close to my heart. 1 in 5 of us will have a lung condition during our lifetime and there's a new diagnosis every minute. Asthma + Lung UK work to stop asthma attacks and ultimately trying to cure asthma and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
I have been struggling with asthma for the past 24 months now and have set myself my biggest challenge to prove to myself and other asthmatics that this doesn’t have to hold you back and most importantly raising the money for the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe.
Back in 2011, I lost my Nan Patricia Monk and more recently in February 2023 my girlfriend's grandad Anthony Doxford who both suffered severely with COPD which left them both relying on oxygen for everyday use. They will both always be in my memory, and I know they will be cheering me on the whole way round.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated, however big or small, it
all helps make a big difference. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
