Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 4th January 2022, our beautiful Millie Kate was born sleeping and gained her angel wings. Katie was 40 weeks pregnant at the time, so as expected, this was a complete shock and something we struggle with every day. We were beyond excited and looking forward to bringing Millie into the world, however this will now be a day we will never forget – a day where our world was completely shattered.

Not only did we suffer our own tragic loss, 7 weeks prior to this, Katie’s sister and her husband also lost their gorgeous boy, Alfie, who was born sleeping.

In the UK, 1 in 4 babies are lost during pregnancy or birth, with many parents never finding out why. Therefore, I will be running for Tommy’s, which is the largest UK charity researching the causes and prevention of pregnancy complications, miscarriage, stillbirth, premature birth and neonatal death. Not only does their funded research help to save babies’ lives and improve care at every stage of pregnancy, they also offer fantastic support for families who have experienced baby loss.

I will be running 26.2 miles in memory of Millie and Alfie and all the other babies who have gained their angel wings far too early.

Thank you for your support,

Love Jamie and family x
