Story
Im sure alot of you already know but incase you are not on my Instagram or Facebook then I'll give you a quick run down........
Last September (2020) during this horrendous COVID outbreak my dad went to the doctors with what he thought was a urine infection.
The following day he got a call from the doctor and was sent straight to hospital for more tests. Turns out he has advanced stage prostate cancer, without any symptoms, which if he had, he could have recognised this earlier to allow treatment to cure this cowardly disease, our world was shattered in 24 hours.
My dad served in the metropolitan police for 20 years before finally retiring. However after just 1 year of being retired he recieved this devastating news!
It is most likley that he has had this cancer for a long time but never had any symptoms neither any routine check ups! Gone undiagnosed for years!
So far as most of you know he has smashed 3 Welsh mountains whilst on chemotherapy with ease!! Which is a true testament to my dads strength and will to carry on and as we say like our old pal Winston... "we will never surrender!"
So myself my dad and my brother are doing the jeff stelling London marathon march in aid of prostate cancer for men and to raise awareness so no one else has to suffer what we are currently enduring ! So please donate or as a minimum share this page to spread the word!
