Jamie's Great Racing Welfare Cycle

The Great Racing Welfare Cycle · 17 August 2021 to 21 August 2021 ·
In 2020 with gyms closed, and lockdown hanging over everyone, I decided to take up road cycling. I began by building my own bike and I’m now obsessed with it! I’ve been looking for a challenge and along came The Great Racing Welfare Cycle.
500 Miles in 5 days. Starting on 17th August at Carlisle Racecourse and finishing at Newton Abbot Racecourse on 21st August. The route will take in some of the top climbs in Yorkshire that have been used in the Tour De France. We will roughly be climbing the height of Everest over the 5 days and will taste what it’s like to ride in a multi stage race like the pros.
I am looking forward to the challenge and supporting a great Charity in Racing Welfare who offer professional help and practical guidance to the stud, stable and racecourse staff whose dedication is vital for the well being of racing.
Follow my journey leading up to the challenge and if you can support me in anyway I would gratefully appreciate it.
