As some of you are aware from the news recently, Archie Hill has been fighting for the government to allow for him to get some breakthrough drugs that will help fight against the debilitating illness that is Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Even though he is only 9 years of age, he has written to and met David Cameron outside 10 Downing Street, been on the Good Morning Britain sofa and also had Jack Wilshire over his house to have a kick about and play Fifa (supposedly Jack is really competitive).
Archie was diagnosed when he was 3 and has been coping with the disease ever since, although he is now struggling to do his favourite thing- play football. The degenerative muscular disease will eventually lead to paralysis and a shortened life and that is something that I would love to prolong after getting to know his family.
Fortunately he has a supportive family and an unreal older brother ( who have been there every step of the way and we would like to raise some money through completing Tough Mudder (it's basically a half marathon with crazy obstacles every half mile or so) to help them in any way possible.
We know times are tough but as we all had the opportunity to grow up playing football and seeing that soon he won't be able to play football we feel we had to do something to help so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE donate and help such a fantastic cause.
