Story
I'm supporting Nerve Tumours UK because their mission means a great deal to me. They provide crucial support to people living with the Neurofibromatoses- the conditons that cause nerve tumours. They are dominant genetic conditions, which means that they can be passed on in families from one generation to the next through genetic inheritance. Similarly, about half of nerve tumours cases recorded have no previous family history of the condition. In other words, it can occur totally “out of the blue”.Please help me bolster their support.
I will be hiking 30 miles from Horsham to Brighton Pier for my 29th Birthday. Supporting NerveTumours UK in the process. Being diagnosed with NF in my teenage years was incredibly scary not only had I never heard of the condition to be told there was no cure for it and the chance the my condition could get worse as I get older affected me greatly even affecting some the choices I make somewhat 12 years later. However I couldn't get through this condition without the support of charities like Nerve Tumours who not only offer advice and support but giving life changing support to those less fortunate than I. So for my 29th Birthday I have decided to give something back to train and push myself to walk 30 miles solo to Brighton Pier from my home town in Horsham.
