Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes a week before my 6th birthday. Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) is an incurable illness where your pancreas stops working and you need to help your body process the sugars in food by injecting yourself with insulin and monitoring your blood glucose levels continuously. With T1D you never get a day off from injecting and monitoring, but JDRF is doing some amazing research into new treatments, technologies and maybe even a cure!!!
Also, JDRF were there for me when I was diagnosed, providing me with child-friendly information about T1D and a cuddly friend, Rufus (see photos above), who showed me where I could test my blood and inject my insulin.
Please give generously to JDRF via my JustGiving page.
