Story
Whilst I've commuted by bike and done a few Triathlons, this seven day 1,438k ride from London to Cannes in the South of France is a monumental challenge.
Riding with 3 colleagues from AHMM Architects and hundreds from the Property and Construction Industry we'll be raising money to help; adoption, children fight cancer and tackling the root cause of violent street crime.
On March 9th, I'll be riding my trusty LaPierre French road bike from Central London through the Kent counryside and then on, day after day through the rolling French Countryside. I'm going to attempt to cycle the whole way, averaging over 200k a day with about 2,000m of climbing. Hopefully, the weather will be good!
- Day 1 - London - Folkestone 116km | 1250m
- Day 2 - Calais - Soissons 264km | 2470m
- Day 3 - Soissons - Auxerre 237km | 2500m
- Day 4 - Auxerre - Chalon 196km | 2450m
- Day 5 - Chalon - Valence 255km | 2330m
- Day 6 - Valence - Greoux-les-Bains 210km | 3400m

My training plan is to ride 300k a week with a mixture of: Longer rides around the Surrey Hills, commute rides to AHMM in central London, site inspections of 2 Ruskin Square in Croydon and Spin Classes. You are very welcome to join me!
60% of all money raised goes to help adoption through Coram, the rest of the money goes to a range of causes including Children fighting cancer and tackling the root cause of violent street crime. More information on this amazing work is found here:
