In 2006 I was lucky enough to receive a grant from the RCVS Trust to fund my PhD in veterinary medical ethics. This kick-started my academic career and I am now working as a Petsavers Resident at Bristol.

The RCVS Trust is celebrating its Golden Jubilee this year and to mark this anniversary I have accepted the ambitious challenge of finding 1,000 people to donate £50 each, thereby raising a total of £50,000 for this small unique charity that does so much to support veterinary education and animal welfare projects in the UK and overseas.

I have started the ball rolling by donating £50 and I am now looking for another 999 people to match my donation during this Golden Jubilee year.
