Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·

Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

I am running the London Marathon for the very first time in 2012. Suffering through shin splints, stitches and apparently even toenails falling off (!), I will be running for Sense (The National Deafblind and Rubella Association), a charity which campaigns for and supports deafblind people of all ages and abilities.

Any money that you can donate will go to this fantastic cause, whether you fancy doing your bit for charity or simply find the idea of me doing a marathon rather amusing (I know who you are!)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
