The Task; To cycle from lands end to John o Groates without the aid of motors, drugs and being pulled along except by each other
Why ? If your sitting comftably then I shall begin
Once upon a time (two years ago) their were six very young, brave, strong Knights of the realm( six over weight, over 40 and un fit men) who took to their steeds to the majic kingdom to rescue the princess(clapped old bikes from Stone to Ludlow). They battled though terrible conditions into the wild wilderness(sunny, 22c, roaming countryside of staffordsire and shropshire)They fought against the wild evil warriors( they were chucked out of a pub by a girl for eating pasties which they hadn't bought there) They braveley rode on even though they were badly injured from their fighting(they pushed their bikes up the gentle slopes and cried like girls when it got tough) and rescued the princess(they got to Ludlow, broken men and ordered 2 cream teas each)
So after we got home and thought how pathetic specimen of men we were, Mike decided to take the bull by the horns and came up with this idea
Last year when I was out on a training run I rode into an unlit skip and tore the front of my face off, with a little bit of titanium and sticky backed tape I was put back together again. some time later Mike took me out to bye a new bike and since then we've been in training for this challenge which seems to be getting closer very quickly.
So if you feel like giving some money to charity to make a couple of well toned athletes turn into a couple of wrecks by day 2 follow the tabs to donate
