Hello, 

A massive thanks to everyone who donated so far. You've all been extremely generous.

Unfortunately, I developed a hamstring injury and dispute numerous physio sessions and constant stretching, it hasn't healed, so I won't be running this years marathon.

Concern have been really supportive and have offered to give me a place at next years London marathon (2020). I will keep this page open and will continue to accept donations between now and then.

I'll post another update once I get myself fit again.

The money that has already been raised is with Concern, so they can start put it to good use.

As most of you know I've been enjoying running as a hobby for many years. I went to watch the London marathon last year and was blown away by the positive experience with everyone involved, organisers, runners and supporters all taking part in an event that will raise money improving people's lives all over the world. 

I contacted Concern Worldwide last year to ask if I could be part of their team for 2019 and have been lucky enough to been accepted to help raise money for them.

Concern Worldwide work in 27 of the world’s poorest countries that are often at greater risk from disasters, both natural and man made. In an emergency they act quickly to save lives, then stay in the country to work with communities, rebuilding lives and livelihoods to ensure people are better prepared for the future.

My Mum went to Liberia to help out during the Ebola crisis with Concern in 2014 and from her experience I know how effective Concern can be in such disasters.

Your donation will go a long way to help the amazing work Concern do all over the world.

I need to raise over £2000 to get a place on the starting line, so please spread the word to friends and family. I'll need all the help I can get.
