Story
I'll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on the 2nd April 2023, in support of my friend, Paul Dean, and the incredible EHE Rare Cancer Charity.
For those of you who don't know Paul's story, he was diagnosed at just 27, with EHE, a rare cancer that originates in the blood vessels. The tumours are widespread across his liver and lungs, amounting to over fifty tumours in total - the largest being over 5cm in diameter. He's stable right now, but others aren't so lucky.
In the short time I've known Paul, he has been an inspiring and enthusiastic character that has managed to support and encourage a large number of his friendship group to get fitter and healthier. This has led us all to support Paul and the EHE Rare Cancer Charity in running this Half-Marathon as part of the 'The EHE Dean Dream Team'
I'm proud to be running alongside Paul, and the rest of his family and friends in support of this great charity. Any donations, however big or small, would be greatly appreciated. It means a lot!
P.S. I will try and keep weekly updates on the page with progress of my runs. I'm starting out at a steady 5km pace of 30minutes which would potable around 2 hours and 11 minutes to finish a half marathon if I could keep up that pace! I've set myself an ambitious target of sub 2-hours which I've no idea if that's achievable but anyone who knows me will know I'm quite a determined and am going to train hard to give it my best shot!
