Story
We are a small casual and informal walking group (ages 24-67) all living in the parish of Fylingdales,North Yorkshire. We have walking days of 15 -23 miles over varying terrain and in all conditions. We live in a diverse parish ranging from sea and beach to uplands and moorlands. The idea of walking the bounds is based on the ancient custom of riding them on horseback to make them secure against neighbours. We had the idea of walking the bounds and then thought to do it for MAG. It is about 25 miles round the bounds so we will make up the difference on 'foriegn soil' in Staintondale parish. The walk is long and in sections quite arduous covering mostly moorland some of which is pathless!.The money we raise for MAG will have been properly earned. It is apposite to do this walk for MAG as it will help others to walk in safety and without fear.PLEASE GIVE AS MUCH AS YOU FEEL ABLE. THANK YOU
