Sheffield & Hallamshire FA Chief Executive, will be flying across the pitch at Hillsborough in support of The Children’s Hospital, zip slide challenge.
James joins Alan Irvine, Sheffield Wednesday Manager, Lee Strafford, Sheffield Wednesday Chairman and David Blunkett MP plus many more from the clubs fan base and the general public who are taking part. The event is to be held on Sunday 25th April 2010 between 9am and 4.30pm. All participants will slide from the back of the Kop to the end of the ground.

I have always fancied doing a zip slide challenge, so I am sure I will really enjoy the experience and a number of the staff here at Sheffield & Hallamshire FA are certainly looking forward to seeing me fly across the pitch at Hillsborough!
Simon Athey, Senior Fundraiser at The Children’s Hospital, said “We are delighted that James has decided to join Alan, Lee and David for the zip slide challenge. Sheffield & Hallamshire FA have supported us for a number of years and we hope that by James getting involved, this will then encourage individuals involved with the grassroots football community to sign up too.”
Dozen of thrill seekers have already signed up for the zip slide challenge but there are still plenty of places available so you can join in and raise some money for a very worthy cause.

A £25 registration fee reserves your place and then the charity asks that each person raises a minimum of £75 in sponsorship. Participants must be over the age of 18 and a full list if terms and conditions can be found on the charity’s website.
