Story
My beautiful Aunty Jacinta passed away this year and I wanted to do something to honour her short yet meaningful life.
She was dealt a bad deal and was born with disabilities that hindered her, and one of her major disabilities was she was born with no hearing.
A mother of 5 who was told she would not be able to have children was loved by everyone and was so kind and good to all that knew her. I wanted to do something special to honour her life.
For anyone that knows me, I am terrified of heights! At 39 years of age I think it is time to face my fears head on. I also know that the more dangerous the activity and great chance of loss of life the more money I can raise. So I have decided to climb Snowdon with my colleagues in work and to also Zip Wire Down Snowdon (This is the daft bit). Not only is it stupidly high, but it is the fastest Zip Wire in the world, and the Longest in Europe.
Now most people would have said that's enough, but my Aunty deserves more. So I will also be doing another Zip Wire over the US city of Vegas (Nick Named the Zoom Line Ultimate) just to confirm I am definitely as dumb as I look!
Jacinta was helping me with idea's before she died on raising money for a local deaf charity that has a partnership with our Chester Branch. I think it is really fitting that the money raised will go and support people who face the same struggles as she did in life.
Your generosity is really appreciated. Please dig deep and support me to smash my goal of £1000
