Great Manchester Run 10k 2019 · 19 May 2019 ·

Bury Cancer Support Centre offers practical, emotional and social support to anyone whose life is touched by cancer. An independent drop in Centre that receives no outside funding, relying solely on fundraising and charitable donations to meet its annual costs of £200,000 plus.

Story

With it reported that 1 in 2 people in the UK born after 1960 will be diagnosed with some form of cancer, it is tremendously important that we have the right services in place to offer support and advice to those affected by this ruthless disease.

Bury Cancer Support Centre is an invaluable local service that provides practical, emotional and social support to cancer victims and their loved ones. In their 15 years of service, they have helped countless people in Bury through an extremely difficult time in their lives.

As the local MP for Bury North, I have agreed to run the Manchester 10K to fundraise for this fantastic charity and to help the Centre in anyway I can.

Any donations are greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping people affected by cancer in our local community.
