Story
Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that's living with a life limiting condition or dealing with the loss of a loved one – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
I have been fortunate enough to get a place in this years London Marathon through Sue Ryder Wheatfields, a great opportunity to raise some much needed funds for the hospice and to also remember my late father. My dad, Stephen, passed away from cancer in 2017 and whilst he chose to spend his final days at home with his family, we received a lot of support from the hospice and want to give something back.
Care at the hospice is free, but it costs £3.8m per year to provide it, which equates to £10,500 per day!
All your donations, will go a long way to help someone and their families in their hour of need so please dig deep! :)
My main goal is to complete to London Marathon in October but I will (COVID permitting) be organising some more fund raising events between now and October.
