Story

Sound! Right as some of you may know last year I ran the Belfast Marathon, raising money for Christian Aid. After successfully completing it in around 3hrs 50mins and raising £1200 I swore never to do anything like that again. So, I'm not quite sure why on 31st May I will be heading to Edinburgh to run another marathon. This year I will be running for Alzheimer's Research Trust. This charity's aim is to research and raise the profile of Alzheimer's Disease which affects so many people today. It is a very harsh degenerative disease (usually affecting people over 65) and it's predicted that more and more people will suffer from it in the future. In fact there's a good chance either our parents or we ourselves will suffer from it as people continue to live longer. From a personal experience my Gran suffered from Alzheimer's which in the end lead to her passing away in February this year. My aim is to run in her memory (hopefully quicker than last year) raising as much money and awareness as possible. So please sponsor me! As little as £2 or £3 (the price of a pint)can go a long way. Alternatively look at the web link below and spend 5 mins looking through and learning something about the disease. Many thanks in advance James 07895340322 http://www.alzheimers-research.org.uk/
