It's over!!!
On 26th May Jim travelled up to Edinburgh with his support team consisting of a father intent on sight-seeing and a lot of pasta. Despite the warm temperatures in excess of 20 degrees Jim managed to complete the course in 3hrs 54. 6 minutes under the 4 hour target.
As part of this series of charity runs we have completed the Bungay Half Marathon (where Annie did brilliantly to complete her first half marathon in 2hrs 15) and the Wymondham New Years Day 10k.
Thank you so much for all your generous sponsorship so far, the amount of money has far exceeded our expectations. However, just because the running is over doesn't mean it's too late to sponsor us. Over the next few weeks/months we will be collecting money from everyone who sponsored us offline and it would be great if we could give our online total one final boost. So if you haven't yet managed to donate we would be incredibly grateful.
All our running has been in aid of Crohn's and Colitis UK. As many of you know our brother Nick was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, a chronic condition, when he was 11 years old. Crohn's and Colitis UK work to promote awareness of inflammatory bowel diseases and fund reasearch into their largely unknown causes. So please give as much as you can to support this important organisation.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
