UPDATE: I completed the abseil today so thank you to everyone for their sponsorship - your generosity got me through a terrifying ordeal.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Those who know me well will be surprised that I am involved in something to do with heights as I get vertigo going up a ladder! Last year I stupidly did an abseil although I went down Crawley Hospital less than an hour after agreeing to it so had little time to think about it. I am glad that I did because the 20 or so texts that I sent in that hour raised over £1600 and helped make the scanner appeal a reality.
This year I have agreed to come down Guy's Hospital Tower, which at 450ft - higher than the London Eye - is the tallest building in London that can be abseiled. I was only told that last bit after I put my name forward! I hope you will help me raise some well deserved funds for the Evelina Family Trust for their home away from home for families who sadly have a child needing normally long-term treatment at Guy's & St. Thomas'.
If I can raise £3500 it will pay for a room for 3 months - the typical duration of stay for a family at the House. Last year the fundraising was really helped by the generous donation from Rigby & Peller in return for wearing the Superman pants as per the attached photo. I am open to any such ideas this year as I am not doing this for the fun of it!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Ronald McDonald House - Evelina Family Trust gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
