Story

Hi,

I haven't been shouting about it, but nearly a year ago (30th November 2023) I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Fortunately it was caught early enough for surgery and in May I had a radical prostatectomy op.

Thankfully, I've now got the all clear and I'll be forever grateful to the staff at NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

Now I'd like to do my bit to help make more people aware of the disease and raise some cash for research at the same time.

Here's the spiel:

Did you know that 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking on the Walk 60 Miles in November challenge for PCR to change this and help make a difference to men and their families who have been affected by prostate cancer.

Please support me during this challenge by donating what you can to Prostate Cancer Research. Whether you donate £5 or £500, you will be helping to make a change for men who have been impacted by prostate cancer.

Thank you for your support! 💙🧡

Message me if you want to know more.

Kind regards,

Jim
