James cycles Edinburgh to St Andrews (and back!)

James cycles Edinburgh to St Andrews (and back!) · 29 June 2018
Two years ago, I and other SLA trustees visited 2 fantastic Indian charities in Hyderabad - Rainbow Homes and VOICE 4 Girls -- and decided to partner with them for 3 years. Hoof it to Hyderabad is one way we support them, with SLA 'Hoofers' collectively trying to run, walk, cycle 8000km, the distance from Edinburgh to Hyderabad.
So on June 29-30 I'll be chipping in about 200km (depending how lost I get!) going from Edinburgh to St. Andrews and around the Kingdom of Fife. I've left it late but don't worry, you can donate throughout July. I'll keep you posted.
Please help me raise £540, which will pay for a class of adolescent girls to attend a 10-day VOICE 4 Girls camp. There they will learn about reproductive health, their legal rights, how to deal with domestic violence and build their confidence so they can take control of their lives and resist pressures to become child workers or child brides. Thank you so much!!
James
P..S. A little more info.....In Hyderabad, India, where there are 28,000 children living on the streets, our new Indian partners urgently need funds to rescue, care for, educate and empower girls so they can decide their own futures. In India, 7 out of 10 girls are unable to complete secondary school, severely restricting their life choices. Almost half of Indian girls are married off before the legal age of 18 and millions of girls are forced into child labour. We need your support to help these vulnerable girls.
