In 2019, there were 5,691 suicides registered in England and Wales of this number 4,303 deaths were male. The England and Wales male suicide rate of 16.9 deaths per 100,000 is the highest since 2000 this is a figure that continues to rise and have increased dramatically as a result of coronavirus. Over the last year especially, mental health has been something which has affected all , male and female , in some way or another. MIND is a charity that provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services raise awareness and promote further understanding to how mental health can affect one another. 

With this in mind, with a group of my mates we thought it was time to give something back and do something to help. We are attempting on May 2nd, to do the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge which is a 24 mile walk with a total ascent of 5200ft. I’m sure the other lads can relate but speaking on behalf of myself , this will be a challenge for someone who has drank and ate far too much during lockdown and is very much unfit🤣.
