In summer 2021 on the 31st of July, I will take on the #Run4Koma Challenge!
WellWater and I are working to alleviate the poverty in Koma Hills, Nigeria! We are looking at the six thematic areas of poverty and we want to boost 5 of these 6 areas in Koma Hills so that the community can not just survive but flourish and be self-sustainable!
Our goal is to provide Koma Hills not just a SUSTAINABLE SCHOOL in the heart of the community, BUT also:
1. Composting Toilets. This will provide a safely managed sanitation service for children at the school preventing diseases.
2. Agriculture Initiative (Composting area). The agriculture initiative will involve installing facilities for composting, helping to increase the fertility and productivity of the land.
3. Solar panels. We want to provide clean energy for the school, so they can make the most of the new building.
4. Water Wells. There are still more than 9,000 inhabitants in Koma who are in need of clean water.
Let's do this together!
