Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Serenity is a great charity that aims 'To preserve and protect the health of sick pregnant women and those who have suffered a miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death'.

In order to raise money for this amazing charity, a charity in which my late auntie Claire worked with very closely, I am partaking in four sporting events:

The Huddersfield 10k - 26th of February - Completed in a time of 49 minutes 49 seconds

The Skipton Triathlon - 9th of April - 400m Swim, 20km Bike Ride and 5km Run - Completed in a time of 1 hour 28 minutes 11 seconds (exc transition)

Le Cote de Holme Moss - 2nd July - 140km Bike Ride including 3,300 metres of ascent - Completed in 7 hours 2 mins 10 seconds (moving time)

York Half Marathon - 10th of September

All of the money donated will go towards Serenity so please donate generously

Thank you for your support!!!

Friends of Serenity aims to preserve and protect the health of sick pregnant women and those who have suffered a miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death in particular but not exclusively by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities, Serenity Suites and equipment at East Lancashire Women and New Born Centre not normally provided by the statutory authorities. We work hard to support newly bereaved parents through the provision of memory boxes and miscarriage keepsakes. By dressing their babies we hope to make distressing and devastating time a little more comforting by taking the pressure off them. These are provided in East Lancashire and throughout the country on public requirement. Additionally, we strive to provide qualified information by any means appropriate on the 2nd most common chromosome disorder Trisomy 13.
