Road Victims Trust support of road victims is provided by a team of highly skilled counselling volunteers and staff. The principles and ethos of the RVT reflect a primary and compelling aspiration to provide personal support to all those affected by the trauma caused by serious road collisions.

Story

On Sunday the 30th of October I'm running the Marine Corps Ultramarathon- a 50k race around Washington DC organised by the United States Marine Corps.   Essentially it's the regular MCM marathon with an extra 5 miles added to the course.  I'm hoping to complete it between 5-6 hours.

I'm raising money for the Road Victims Trust.  The RVT is a very small charity but it does incredible work-  supporting the family and friends of people killed on our roads.   Road deaths are devastating on the loved ones of victims- coming without warning and capable of affecting anyone. But the RVT never stop supporting those impacted by road deaths- for as long as they need their help.

A few years ago a friend of mine was killed by a drunk driver so the work of the RVT is a cause that is important to me.  If you can spare a small amount of money to support this wonderful charity,  I will be very grateful and it will spur me on to complete the race.
